Amos 5:18-24, Romans 3:21-26, Revelation 20:11-15

This week marks our 6th and final sermon in our And Justice for All series. We've considered the weightiest injustices, what God's word has to say about them, and how we are to respond as his people. In this final sermon, we look toward the day when Christ the King will return and establish justice and righteousness once and for all. What does it mean for us to live in light of this day?

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

HEAD: QUESTIONS AIMED AT OUR MINDS TO HELP US UNDERSTAND GOD’S WORD.

  • We’ve been considering God’s justice for 6 weeks now. In light of what you’ve learned, how do you define justice?

  • Read Amos 5:18-27. What is the Day of the Lord? And how will this day turn out to be a surprise for the Israelites? How may this day be a surprise for us?

HEART: QUESTIONS AIMED AT OUR AFFECTIONS TO HELP US LOVE GOD

  • Read Romans 3:21-26. According to this passage, who is unjust? How do you respond to being confronted with your own injustice?

  • According to this passage, what is the remedy to injustice? (See verse 26). Why is it so important to grasp how we are justified?

HANDS: QUESTIONS AIMED AT OUR HANDS TO HELP US LIVE FOR GOD (PERSONALLY, COMMUNALLY, AND MISSIONALLY)

  • Revelation 20:11-15.  What are the encouragements for us here as we await final justice? What are the sobering warnings for us here in this passage?

  • Reflect back on our And Justice for All series. EWhat has God taught you through his word? What had been challenging? How will you live differently in light of these truths?
